Forum go Bye-bye???

I'm seriously thinking of closing this place. I'm at other forums that are much more active, tho none really post user reviews, which was what this was meant to be.

I don't mind the slow build-up of friends, but I've been deleting spam - a lot - every day. If someone wants to take over that job, I'll be willing to do that. Deleted 28 spams today.

The only way to stop the spam, I understand, is to make this place "private". I could do that. but it seems like it would destroy the purpose. Lemme know what you think.

It's a shame things have come to this.
Seems the spamnmers are getting desperate. Many other sites, including many of the Yahoo Groups, are just getting hammered as well.

I think roping off the forum area to 'members only' status would be fine as long as the blog portion (and posting comments there) remained open to all.
